Office Policies

New Patient Policy

Because of limited space, we must be selective about new patients. We require parental involvement and believe that it is essential that parents are invested in their child’s therapy by carrying over the therapy skills to the home setting. If parents are unable to follow through on these requirements, it is possible that their child will not be accepted as a new patient.

Other information about new patient intake can be found the New Patient Information page.

Cancellation Policy

A mandatory cancellation notice is required at least 24 hours in advance in order to avoid a $50 cancellation fee to the client and not the insurance carrier. The cancellation fee is due before the next appointment. Three (3) cancellations without 24 hours notice will result in a loss of future scheduled appointment slots. Special consideration will be given in the event of sudden illness, but it still counts toward the three-cancellation policy.

Late Arrival Policy

Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes require advance notification of your arrival delay and will result in a $25 fee that cannotbe paid by insurance. Only three (3) late appointments will be accepted, even with notification, before your appointment times will be offered to other patients. Scheduling of future appointments will be at the discretion of the BCBA and subject to scheduling limitations.

In order to notify our office of late arrival or cancellation, please call us at 318-605-2636 or text 318-789-6049. We will make an effort to allow another patient to be scheduled during your time and to notify the therapist; please keep in mind that a cancellation results in non-payment of wage to your therapist.

We understand that there will be times when circumstances beyond your control prevent you from arriving at your appointment on time. This policy is in place to protect all parties involved and to respect the time of both patients and our therapists. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Privacy Policy

We value your privacy. All information you provide us is treated as confidential and protected under HIPAA privacy laws. To learn more about HIPAA and what it covers, visit the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
